6F2T0207 (0.01)GRE200 (5,6)- 280 -Voltage check for autoreclose (VCHK)To start the autoreclose function (ARC), a synchronism check may be required between theincoming voltage and the running voltage. Hence, a voltage-check-for-autoreclose (VCHK)function is provided within the (ARC) to fulfil this requirement. The (VCHK) function checksthe absence/presence of the incoming/running voltages and the difference in their respectivevoltages, phase angle and frequencies. After successful checking, a permissive signal (ARC-VCHK) is output to the ARC function. Subsequently, the ARC function will issue an ‘ARCCLOSE COMMAND’ for the closing of the CB†.Busbar GReclosingVCHK(G)Line VTARC(G)Bus VTReclosingCBVCHK(H)Line VTARC(H)Bus VTBusbar HVCHARBus VTBusbar SMain feeder (line)ReclosingVCHK(S)Line VTARC(S)Bus VTCB CBPermissive Permissive PermissiveFigure 2.25-1 Three ARC relays applied to a distribution line with VCHK operations†Note:If the ARC function does not require the permissive signal generated by theVCHK function, set the scheme switch [ARC-NOVCHK] to On. In this case, thepermissive signal (ARC-VCHK) is output to the ARC function unconditionally.
