It includes inverse time and definite time characteristics.[EF] Directional/Non-directional phase earth fault protectionThe EF has some relay elements. The choice of characteristic can be selectable either inversetime or definite time.[SEF] Directional/Non-directional sensitive earth fault protectionThe SEF can provide the user sensitive elements where the magnitude of fault current couldbe very low. Dedicated core balance earth fault CT is served. Either Inverse or definite timecharacteristic is selected.[ICD] Inrush current detectionThe ICD will detect the second harmonic inrush current present when a transformer isenergized. It measures the ratio between the second harmonic current (I2f) and thefundamental current (I1f) on a per phase basis.
