Removing the Fixing Heater1) Slide out the fixing/feeding unit fromthe copier.2) Remove the fixing/feeding frontcover.3) Open the fixing delivery assembly.4) Remove the fixing upper cover, andremove the fixing cleaning belt;then, clean the silicone oil pan, andremove the fixing upper unit.5) Remove the flywheel.6) Remove the faston q at the front ofthe heater (main heater, subheater).7) Remove the mounting screw w, andremove the side electrode supplyleaf spring e at the front.8) Free the two cables r at the front ofthe heater from the wire saddles t.9) Remove the two fastons y at therear.10) Pull out the main heater and the subheater from the fixing assembly tothe front with care not to damagethem.When opening the fixing upper unitduring inspection/maintenancework, you could cause the sideplate of the upper fixing unit topush down the height adjustingsupport plate of the fixingassembly inlet guide, lowering thefixing assembly inlet guide.
