The Phaser 6180MFP offers Print, Scan,Copy, and Fax functionality.System OverviewThe Phaser 6180MFP Multifunction Printer consists of the Scanner Assembly,Print Engine, Control Panel, Printer Controller, and All In One (AIO) Controller.■ Scanner Assembly – The Scanner Assembly scans document forcopying, scanning, and facsimile sending. Automatic Document Feeder(ADF) is a standard feature.■ Print Engine – The Print Engine writes video data on paper for copying,printing files received by facsimile, and printing. The Image OutputTerminal (IOT) prints data in four colors (CMYK). The laser xerographysystem employs four color independent tandem engines.■ Control Panel – The Control Panel displays various setup, instructions,and error messages for printing, scanning, copying, and faxing.■ Printer Controller – The Printer Controller controls the total system ofthe machine. The Printer Controller processes and stores images fromthe Scanner Assembly, Print Engine, facsimile, and printer I/F, andcontrols the panel.
