GRADATION*, COLOR TONE, HIGH RESOL., RESOLUTIONIMAGE ........... GRADATION*, COLOR TONE, HIGH RESOL., RESOLUTIONSpecifies the display pattern of subtle gradation (medium gradation) for color datafor each text part, graphics part such as diagrams and graphs, and image partsuch as picture images.RESOLUTION prints precisely so that the lines of text data appear clearly. Thissetting is appropriate for printing data that contains text or thin lines.GRADATION prints with a stable texture and color hue, and a smooth gradationcombined. This setting is appropriate for printing image data such asphotographic images, because it reduces a phenomenon of "Out-of-RegisterColors".Although COLOR TONE prints precisely with the phenomenon of "Out-of-RegisterColors" reduced than GRADATION does, the stability of the texture is lower inquality. This setting is appropriate for printing diagrams, graphs, etc.Although HIGH RESOL. prints in higher resolution than RESOLUTION does, thestability of the texture is lower in quality. This setting is appropriate for printing adocument so that the outlines of text, thin lines, or CAD appear clearly.GRAY COMPENSATETEXT.....................................ON*, OFFGRAPHICS ...........................ON*, OFFIMAGE ..................................ON*, OFFSpecifies whether to print gray color data with the black toner (Bk) only.If ON is specified, the printer prints gray color data with the black toner (Bk) only. You can prevent a phenomenon of "Out-of-Register Colors".If OFF is specified, the printer prints the gray color of gray color data using thefour colors of CMYK.
