4-35Printing from the Multi-purpose TrayLoading and Outputting Paper4Printing from the Multi-purpose TrayThe multi-purpose tray can be loaded with up to approximately 100 sheets of plainpaper (80 g/m2 ) at sizes of A4, B5, A5, Legal, Letter, Executive, Statement,Foolscap, 16K, Envelope DL, Envelope COM10, Envelope C5, Envelope Monarch,Envelope B5, Index Card, and paper at the following custom paper sizes.When loading paper in portrait orientation: Width 76.2 to 215.9 mm; Length 127.0to 355.6 mmWhen loading paper in landscape orientation (Only when UFR II Printer Driver isused): Width 127.0 to 215.9 mm; Length 127.0 to 215.9 mmPaper that cannot be loaded in the paper cassette such as transparencies andenvelopes can be loaded in the multi-purpose tray.When printing from the multi-purpose tray, you need to specify the followingsettings.IMPORTANTMatch the settings for TRAY PAPER SIZE and TRAY PAPER TYPE in the SETUP menuof the printer and those in the printer driver. If they do not match, the message LOAD "size"> appears. In this case, the settings for TRAY PAPER SIZE and TRAYPAPER TYPE are changed to those in the printer driver by pressing the (Online) key,allowing you to continue printing.NOTEIf you are printing from an operating system on which the printer driver cannot be used,previously specify the paper source to TRAY. (See p. 4-13)■ Loading Paper in the Multi-purpose Tray (See p. 4-36)■ Specifying the Size and Type of the Paper in the Multi-purpose Tray(See p. 4-48 and p. 4-50)When you changed the size or type of the paper in the multi-purpose tray, specify thefollowing settings using the control panel.
