4-37Loading and Outputting Paper4Printing from the Multi-purpose TrayWhen Loading Paper (Other than Envelopes)Perform the following procedure to load plain paper, heavy paper, transparencies,labels, or coated paper in the multi-purpose tray.IMPORTANT• Transparencies can only be printed in black and white.• It is not recommended to print on heavy paper that weighs between 177 and 220 g/m2.However, specify the settings for the paper type to "Heavy Paper 3" if you have to performprinting.1 Open the multi-purpose tray.Holding the opening at the center of the printer, open the multi-purpose tray.2 Pull out the auxiliary tray.IMPORTANTBe sure to pull out the auxiliary tray when loading paper in the multi-purpose tray.
