16 Xerox Secure Access158 Xerox Phaser 3635 System Administration GuideCheck the Server Configuration AddressCheck that the Xerox Secure Access Server has been configured to point to the device.If the feature has been configured correctly the address information should be populatedwith the address of the Xerox Secure Access Server.If the information is incomplete or incorrect, in the Server Communication area select [IPaddress] or [Hostname] and enter the address of the Xerox Secure Access Server.NOTE: Enter the HTTP path of [public/dce/xeroxvalidation/convauth] and port number of[1824] to facilitate communication.Use Secure AccessAt the Xerox Device:1. Select a service that you have locked.2. Read the user interface prompt to determine what you need to do to beauthenticated at the device.Authentication methods include:• Swipe a card• Place a proximity card near the reader• Enter a user ID or PIN number3. If you need to enter information, touch the [Keyboard Access] button and enteryour login information.The screen may request further information, such as a primary PIN or password, oraccount information. The primary PIN may have been set on the Xerox Secure AccessServer. The accounting information may be requested because an accounting optionis configured on the device.The Xerox device will confirm successful authentication and you will now have accessto the features.4. When you have finished using the features, press the [Clear All] button on thekeypad to logout.
