Turnthe lens as shown by the arrow until itclicks into place.● To protect the lens, keep the lens cap on when the camera is notin use.Detaching a Lens● Make sure the camera is off.● While pressing the lens release button(1), turn the lens as shown by the arrow(2).● Turn the lens until it stops and thendetach it (3).● Attach the lens cap to the detached lens.● Minimizing Dust- When changing lenses, do it quickly in a place with minimaldust.- When storing the camera without a lens attached, be sure toattach the body cap to the camera.- Remove dust on the body cap before attaching it.● The image sensor is smaller than the 35mm format, which causesthe attached lens’s focal length to appear magnified about 1.6x.For example, an 18–55 mm focal length would be equivalent toan approx. 29–88 mm focal length on a 35mm camera.Lens Instruction ManualDownload electronic manuals for your lens from the following Internetaddress.http://www.canon.com/icpd/
