Note that this isnot possible unless you have calibrated the electronic level.● Choose [Electronic Level] on the [ 1] taband then press the [ ] button.● Choose [Reset], and press the [ ]button.● Choose [OK], and then press the [ ]button.Using Eco ModeThis function allows you to conserve battery power in Shooting mode.When the camera is not in use, the screen quickly darkens to reducebattery consumption.1 Configure the settings.● Choose [Eco Mode] on the [ 2] tab andthen choose [On].● [ ] is now shown on the shootingscreen (= 174).● The screen darkens when the camerais not used for approximately twoseconds; approximately ten secondsafter darkening, the screen turns off.The camera turns off after approximatelythree minutes of inactivity.2 Shoot.● To activate the screen and prepare forshooting when the screen is off but the(rear) indicator lamp is still on, press theshutter button halfway.Changing Video FormatsThis lets you define the image format for your TV set. This setting alsochanges the image quality (frame rate) options available for movies.● Choose [Video system] on the [ 1] taband then choose an option.Electronic Level CalibrationCalibrate the electronic level if it seems ineffective in helping you level thecamera.For greater calibration accuracy, display grid lines (= 30) to help youlevel the camera in advance.1 Make sure the camera is level.● Place the camera on a flat surface, suchas a table.2 Calibrate the electronic level.● Choose [Electronic Level] on the [ 1] taband then press the [ ] button.● To adjust left/right tilt, choose [HorizontalRoll Calibration], and to adjust forward/backward tilt, choose [Vertical PitchCalibration], followed by the [ ] button. Aconfirmation message is displayed.● Choose [OK], and then press the [ ]button.
