111Advanced GuideBasic Guide1 Camera Basics2 Auto Mode /Hybrid Auto Mode3 Other Shooting ModesTv, Av, and M Mode6 Playback Mode7 Wi-Fi Functions8 Set-Up Menu9 Accessories10 AppendixIndex4 P Mode5 Tv, Av, M, and C ModesBefore UseApplying Filter EffectsYou can apply the effects of the following shooting modes to an image andsave it as a new image: [ ], [ ], [ ], [ ], [ ], [ ], and [ ].1 Select the effect type.● Press the [ ] button, choose [ ] inthe menu, and choose an effect type(= 31).● Press the [ ] button.2 Configure details.● For [ ] mode, press the [ ][ ] buttons orturn the [ ] dial to adjust the contrast.● For [ ] mode, press the [ ][ ] buttons orturn the [ ] dial to adjust blurring.● For [ ] or [ ] modes, press the [ ][ ]buttons or turn the [ ] dial to adjust thestrength of the effect.● For [ ] mode, press the [ ][ ] buttonsor turn the [ ] dial to adjust the intensityof the colors.● For [ ] mode, press the [ ][ ] buttonsor turn the [ ] dial to adjust the colortone.● For [ ], press the [ ] button toresize the frame and press the [ ][ ]buttons to move it.4 Save as a new image and review.● Turn the [ ] dial to choose [ ], and thenpress the [ ] button.● Follow steps 2 – 3 in “Resizing Images”(= 109).● Editing is not possible for images shot at [ ] resolution.● RAW images cannot be edited.● You cannot crop an image that has already been cropped.● You cannot apply a Creative filter or resizing to a cropped image.● Cropped images will have a lower number of recording pixels thanuncropped images.● In step 3, while the cropped image is displayed, you can stillchange the crop position, size and aspect ratio.● Step 2 can also be performed by pressing the [ ] button,choosing [Cropping] on the [ 2] tab, pressing the [ ] button,selecting an image and pressing [ ] again.● In step 2, you can move the frame by dragging it around thescreen. Pinch or spread out your fingers (= 101) to change thesize of the frame.● In step 2, you can also touch [ ], [ ], [ ], or [ ] on thescreen.
