DigitalPhoto Professional will then start upautomatically and display the loadedimages.● After the image-loading process iscomplete, close EOS Utility, press the[ ] button to turn the camera off, andunplug the cable.● To view images loaded into yourcomputer, use Digital Photo Professional;to view movies imported onto yourcomputer, use software that supportsthe movies shot with your camera (i.e.software installed as standard on yourcomputer or software that is generallyavailable).Saving Images to a ComputerUse an interface cable (= 2) to connect your camera and saveimages to a personal computer.Windows 7 and Mac OS X 10.8 are used here for the sake of illustration.1 Connect the camera to thecomputer.● With the camera turned off, open thecover (1). With the smaller plug of thecable in the orientation shown, insert theplug fully into the camera terminal (2).● Insert the larger plug of the cable into thecomputer’s USB port. For details aboutUSB connections on the computer, referto the computer user manual.2 Turn on the camera and bring upEOS Utility.● Press the [ ] button to turn the cameraon.● On Windows, double-click on the EOSUtility icon on the desktop.● On Mac OS, click on the EOS Utility iconin the Dock (the bar at the bottom of thedesktop screen).● On subsequent connections, EOS Utilitywill start up automatically when youconnect the camera to the computer andturn on the camera.
