2.6 INSTALLING PORT EXPANSION CARDS: KX-TVS102 OR KX-TVS204Installation Manual 512.6 INSTALLING PORT EXPANSION CARDS:KX-TVS102 OR KX-TVS2042.6.1 GeneralPort Expansion Cards• The KX-TVS102 card can be installed in the KX-TVS125, KX-TVS225, and KX-TVS325.One KX-TVS102 card can support 2 VPS ports, under either Inband or DPT Integration.• The KX-TVS204 card can be installed in the KX-TVS125, KX-TVS225, and KX-TVS325(but SLOT 2 of the KX-TVS125 is not available for installing the KX-TVS204 card). OneKX-TVS204 card can support 4 VPS ports, under DPT Integration.Expansion Capabilities of the VPS• The KX-TVS125 can handle up to 6 ports simultaneously when 1 KX-TVS204 port cardand 1 KX-TVS102 port card are installed.• The KX-TVS225 can handle up to 12 ports simultaneously when 3 KX-TVS204 port cardsare installed.• The KX-TVS325 can handle up to 24 ports simultaneously when 6 KX-TVS204 port cardsare installed.The KX-TVS125, KX-TVS225, and KX-TVS325 have one port expansion card (KX-TVS204)installed prior to factory shipment.CAUTIONBefore installing an optional port card, it is very important that the power to the unitbe turned off. Before beginning the actual installation and touching the card or anycircuitry within the unit, discharge any static electricity from your body by touchingthe grounding strap. This is a critical step that must be performed to protect theprinted circuit board and any other electronic components from static electricity.Refer to the manual accompanying the optional card concerning the precautionsthat must be taken and the steps for completing the installation.
