118EnglishUsing HDMI-CECfunctionThe HDMI-CEC function enables the remote controlof this unit alone to operate the basics of HDMI-CECcompatible devices by the interlocking control betweenthis unit and such devices. Also, this function enablesthe remote control (or main unit’s buttons) of a HDMI-CEC compatible device alone to turn on/off this unit andswitch input.ConnectionConnect the HDMI-CEC compatible device to HDMI 1 orHDMI 2 terminal.HDMI cable (commercially available)DVD Recorder / DVD Player, Blu-ray Recorder /Blu-ray PlayerSettingMake the setting on the connected device (HDMI-CEC compatible device) so this function canoperate.Set [HDMI-CEC settings] - [HDMI-CEC control] to[Enable]. (see page 66)Turn on all the devices, and turn this unit off and on.Then check if images can be seen correctly withHDMI1 or HDMI2 input.Interlocking devicesPerforms the following interlocking operations by settingeach item of [Link function] for [HDMI-CEC settings].■ [Display → Device] interlocking• Turning this unit off turns off all the connectedHDMI-CEC compatible devices.• Turning this unit on turns on the HDMI-CECcompatible device connected to [HDMI1] or[HDMI2] when the input is [HDMI1] or [HDMI2].• Switching the input of this unit to HDMI1 or HDMI2turns on the connected HDMI-CEC compatibledevice.Note● When multiple devices are connected with the[HDMI1] or [HDMI2] input and this unit is turned onwith the [Power off / on] setting, the device that wasviewed or listened last is turned on.● When this unit is turned on with the [Power off / on]setting and the device that was viewed or listened lastwith the [HDMI1] or [HDMI2] input is not connected,a device displayed for [HDMI1] or [HDMI2] of [HDMI-CEC settings] is turned on.■ [Device → Display] interlockingWhen set to [Power on] or [Power off / on]:• Turning on the HDMI-CEC compatible device turnsthis unit on, and switches the input to HDMI1 orHDMI2 to which the device is connected.• Starting to play back on the HDMI-CEC compatibledevice turns this unit on, and switches the input toHDMI1 or HDMI2 to which the device is connected.• Starting to play back on the HDMI-CEC compatibledevice switches the input of this unit to HDMI1 orHDMI2 to which the device is connected.When set to [Power off / on]:• Turning off the HDMI-CEC compatible device ofinput (HDMI1/HDMI2) with which you are currentlyviewing or listening turns off this unit.Note● The device interlocking function, which turns off thisunit, realizes the interlocking operations by monitoringsignal statuses of devices.Depending on the setting, the device continues tooutput signals even in the power-off state. In thiscase, the interlocking function does not operate.In this case, refer to the manuals of the devices.● Input will not be switched when [Setup] - [Input lock]is set.● Depending on the display status or video equipmentstatus, such as during start-up, the interlockingoperation may not be performed.
