13 Report Generation13.1 Generating PDF ReportsThe documents containing the measurements can be exported as a PDFfile. This includes graphical data (e.g. DGD curves) as well as scalarresults such as the PMD value. The report generator can process multiplefiles in a single run. For example, all .pbin-files contained in a directorycan be converted into multiple PDFs or they can be written into a singlePDF.The appearance of these reports can be highly customized. For exam-ple, a company logo can be placed on the page(s) or the informationcan be reduced to only the relevant data of a specific customer. Alsospecific parameters can be interactively queried from the customer in acustomizable dialog (e.g. DUT name or serial number).The layout is defined by a definition file, the so-called report template.This file uses the XML syntax and can be seen as a simple script language.The command reference is given in the next chapters.13.1.1 Creating a Report for the Current DocumentYou can generate a single report from the current document using thefollowing steps:• Open your document.• Click on Tools→Report Generator or on the PDF-icon in the tool-bar.• The report generator wizard appears. Select ”Current document”from the list.• Select a report template from the list (apparently only one templateis selectable).• Click on ”Next”.• Enter additional information if desired in the next page.• Click on ”Next”.• Click on ”Finish”.• You will be asked for a target filename.Now, a PDF file is generated and opened afterwards.NOTE: A PDF viewer such as the Acrobat Reader needs to be installedon your system.13.1.2 Creating a Report for all Gallery DocumentsYou can generate multiple reports from all opened documents in thegallery using the following steps:• Open several documents.• Only documents of the same class can be processed at once (e.g.either only SOP measurements or PMD measurements).
