Making CopiesImage QualityUse this feature to enhance the quality of your output.Original TypeThis feature provides a convenient way to enhance the copy qualityof your output based on the type of original images you are copying.The Normal, Text, and Halftone Photo Original Types use Auto IQ®Image Processing to classify each pixel in the image and to applythe appropriate image processing to enhance the copy quality foreach type of pixel. The Photo Original Type applies a specialcontrast setting and screen to the entire scanned page.l Normal - This is the standard setting and is appropriate for themajority of the jobs run on the machine. It is designed toprovide high quality copies of originals that contain a mixtureof text, graphics, and pictures.l Text - Use this option if your original contains only text or lineart. This will result in the sharpest edges for the text and the lineart.l Halftone Photo - Use this option if your original is from amagazine or other source that contains high quality lithographicimages or continuous tone photographs with text and/orgraphics. This setting will produce better pictures, but slightlyreduces sharpness for text and line art.l Photo - This option is specifically designed to copy continuoustone photographs or printed halftone originals. Use this optionif your original is a photograph or halftone picture without anytext or lines. Any text or lines copied in this mode will be lesssharp than if you select any of the other Original Types.
