Do not force cloth or towelsinto confined areas or force parts open.Document GlassMaintaining Optimum PerformanceThe Document Centre scanner is one of the most sensitive in theindustry and one of the reasons you can produce copies withunparalleled image quality. In order to maintain this level of imagequality the Document Glass must be cleaned.Document Feeder Scan AreaSpots and specks in the Document Feeder Scan Area can show-upas streaks on copies made when the Document Feeder is used.Main Document GlassSpecks and dirt can also cause image detection problems when usingthe main glass. The scanner may interpret contamination as part ofthe image during a pre-scan and produce faulty copies.Recommended Cleaning materials:l Soft, lint-free cleaning towels.l Xerox Platen Glass Lens and Mirror Cleaner, part number8R3669.Apply a non-abrasive cleaner to a towel rather than to the glasssurface. Wipe the entire glass, ensuring that it is free of dirt andsmudges.
