Error Messages8-6Troubleshooting8Error MessagesIf an error occurs during sending or receiving, one of the following messages appears on thetouch panel display. Error codes are displayed in fax status lists, communication result lists,detail lists, communication reports, and activity reports.#001 Check your document.Cause : Paper jam.Remedy : Remove any jammed paper. (See the Reference Guide.)#003 Document is too long.Cause : Communications that take longer than a preset time (64 minutes) cause anerror.Remedy : Change the resolution to any setting other than ultra-fine, and send thedocument again. (See ‘Setting the Resolution, Density, and Image Quality toMatch the Original,’ on p. 2-9.)When receiving a document, ask the remote party to either reduce theresolution at which the document is scanned, or divide the document into two ormore parts before sending it.#005 No answer.Cause : The other party did not answer within 35 seconds.Remedy : Confirm that the remote machine is able to communicate, and try again.Cause : The receiving machine is not a G3 fax.Remedy : Confirm this with the receiving party.#009 Load paper.Cause : Either there is no recording paper, or the paper feed cassette is not correctly set.Remedy : Either replenish the recording paper, or correctly set the paper drawer.
