With the Memory Lock or Transferfunction, you can also set the machine to receive a document temporarily into memory ortransfer it to another machine.The set RX mode appears on the touch panel display, and remains active until a differentmode is set.■ Memory Lock Mode (Memory Lock):This mode stores received documents into memory without printing. When the machine isin the Memory Lock mode, documents are stored in memory, and printed when themachine is taken out of the Memory Lock mode.NOTE• To set the machine to the Memory Lock mode, set the Memory Lock to “On” from (AdditionalFunctions) → “System Settings” → “Communication Settings” → “Memory Lock Setting.” (See‘Saving Received Documents to Memory,’ on p. 6-13.)• Set a password to limit setting/cancellation of the Memory Lock mode, using the CommunicationSettings from the Additional Functions screen. You can also set the machine so that it switches overto the Memory Lock mode at certain times each day and on certain days.
