Sending an Original2-8Basic Fax Usage2Orientation of OriginalsYou can place the original either vertically or horizontally. Always align the top edge of youroriginal with the back edge of the platen glass (top left corner by the arrow) or the feeder.IMPORTANT• If the top edge of the original is not aligned with the back edge of the platen glass (top left corner bythe arrow), prints may not be made correctly, depending on the mode you have set.• If an original is scanned facing the wrong direction, the sender information will not be printed at thecorrect position on the fax.NOTE• LTR and STMT-size originals can be placed either vertically or horizontally.
