Machine ConfigurationSelect the Machine Configuration button to display a list of the various hardwarecomponents and options that are available on the machine. The list also displays thestatus of each of these components and options. Hardware components and optionsinclude the document feeder, paper trays, and any optional feeding and finishingdevices attached to the machine.Machine Serial NumberThe Machine Serial Number is displayed in the General Information area on the MachineInformation tab. Use this number when calling Xerox for technical information orassistance.Current System SoftwareThe version of the system software that is currently installed on the machine is displayedunder the Current System Software title.Software VersionSelect the Software Version button to display a list of the software versions for thevarious machine components, such as the print engine, the Controller ROM (Read OnlyMemory), and any optional feeding and finishing devices.Print ReportsThe Print Reports button must be enabled by the system administrator before reportscan be printed. Some features on the Print Reports screen are only available in thesystem administrator mode.To print a report, select the Various Report button to identify the desired report criteriaand then press Start.NoteThe type of reports available varies depending on machine configuration.Maintenance AssistantSelect Maintenance Assistant to send the diagnostic information of the machine.Overwrite Hard DiskThe Overwrite Hard Disk feature prevents the document image and registered datathat is recorded on the machine hard disk from being illegally retrieved. The numberof overwrites is set by the system administrator.Overwriting the machine hard disk is performed after every copy job that includes morethan one set, and after each scan job is transferred to the print server.
