5Restrictions when using this productWhen using this product, some functions have the following restrictions. Before using this product, keep thefollowing in mind.When displaying live images from thecamera• Black screen may be displayed for the first severalseconds (*) when the following operations are per-formed while displaying live images.• When live images are displayed (by switchingcamera, etc.)• When image is zoomed in or outWhen playing recorded images• First several seconds (*) may be skipped when thefollowing operations are performed while playingrecorded images.• When cameras are switched• When image is zoomed in or out (When zoom-ing into/out of a paused recorded image, animage occurring several seconds before orafter the displayed image may be zoomed in.)• When the playback button is clicked againwhile playing images• When the first frame is displayed by startingthe frame by frame playback during pausing• Playback may be performed in several secondsintervals (*) when the following operations are per-formed. Refer to the description of operationsduring playback on pages 129 and 171 for howto control playback.• Reverse playback• Fast playback/Fast reverse playback• Reverse frame playback• When playing images by designating date & time,playback may start from a point several seconds*before/after the specified time or from the firstframe of the next record.• When the latest recorded image is played, play-back may start from a point several secondsbefore/after a point that is 10 seconds before thelatest recorded image.• When the frame rate is set to 25 ips ~ 60 ips,recorded images may not be played smoothly.When recording images• The actual time of recording trigger (event occur-rence time, start time of the schedule recording,etc.) and the recording start time (time displayedon the recording event list) may not exactly be thesame.• When pre-event recording is set to be performed,the recording may not be performed as the setduration.When copying imagesCopying of recorded images may start from a pointseveral seconds (*) before the designated start timewhen copying recorded images.When downloading recorded imagesDownloading of recorded images may start from apoint several seconds (*) earlier than the designatedstart time.* Time (seconds) differs depending on the refreshinterval setting of the camera (0.2 - 5 seconds). Inthe recorder, the refresh interval of the camera is setto 1 second.Refer to the operating instructions of the camera forinformation about the refresh interval setting.When using a USB memory stick/external storage deviceAfter a USB memory stick is inserted, it may take timeto recognize the medium. It also may take time if thecapacity size of the inserted media is large.
