6-17Speed DiallingChapter 6Speed DiallingMaking a Telephone Call With Speed DiallingFollow this procedure to dial a telephone number registered for one-touch or codedspeed dialling on your FAX:1 Make sure you have connected the optionalhandset or a telephone to the FAX (1 p. 2-6).2 Press Hook.• You can also lift the handset instead ofpressing Hook.3 Enter the one-touch speed dialling button orcoded speed dialling code assigned to thetelephone number you want to dial.❏ One-touch speed dialling button:Press the one-touch speed dialling buttonyou want.❏ Coded speed dialling code:Press Coded Dial, then use the numericbuttons to enter the two-digit code youwant.• If you make a mistake, press Hookor hang up the handset and startagain from step 2.• NO TEL # appears if no fax/telephone number is assigned to thespeed dialling button or code youpressed.• NOT AVAILABLE appears if youentered a speed dialling button orcode assigned to a group of faxnumbers.4 When you hear the other party answer thecall, pick up the handset to start talking.5 When you are finished, simply hang up.TEL=
