B-6 FAX-L290 Instructions Appendix BLoading EnvelopesFollow this procedure to load up to 7 envelopes in the multi-purpose tray:1 Prepare the envelopes❏ Arrange the stack of envelopes on afirm, clean surface, and press downfirmly on the edges to make the foldscrisp.• Press all the way around theenvelopes to remove any curlsand expel air from inside theenvelopes. Also, press firmly onthe area that corresponds to theedges of the back flap.❏ Remove any curling from theenvelopes by holding the edgesdiagonally and bending them gently.❏ Run a pen or other rounded objectalong the back flaps to flatten them.• The flaps should not bulge morethan 5 mm.2 Remove the multi-purpose tray coverfrom the FAX.FLAP
