C-3OptionsAppendix COptionsAttaching the Handset to Your FAXFollow this procedure to attach the handset to your FAX:1 Use a screwdriver to remove the twocovers on the left side of the unit.2 Remove the screws from the plugs andinsert the plugs into the holes on thehandset cradle.3 Insert the plugs (with the handsetcradle) into the holes on the unit.• If you have difficulty inserting theplugs, turn the unit so that the leftside is facing you and the right sideis against a wall. You can nowinsert the plugs without the unitmoving.4 Use your finger to push the screwsinto the plugs.• If you have difficulty, use a cross-point screwdriver to push thescrews all the way into the plugs.(Do not screw them in as thescrews may break.)• Make sure you support the unitwhen inserting the screws.5 Place the handset in its cradle andconnect the handset cord to the h jack.
