To prevent such a problem, a positive voltage is applied to the separationstatic eliminator to weaken the static bonds between drum and copy paper, therebyfacilitating separation.Copy paper possesses high resistance once it has moved through the fixingassembly, and shows curling. For this reason, separation faults could occur if the samedegree of separation corona charging was used for copying on both first and secondsides in automatic two-sided mode.
