Keysight N9923-90001 User’s Guide 147Pulse Measurements Mode – Option 330Supported Power SensorsSupported Power SensorsPulse measurements are made using any of the Keysight U2020 X-Series USBPeak Power Sensors.Zeroing of the U2020 X-Series USB Peak Power Sensors is performedautomatically at power up, every 5 seconds, and prior to measuring low levelsignals.Switching between Pulse Measurement Mode and Power Meter ModeNOT Supported - Using a single USB Peak Power Sensor and switchingbetween Power Meter Mode and Pulse Measurement Mode. Both modeswill attempt to program the sensor, which could cause one or both modesto hang, or at least report inaccurate data.Supported - Using one U2000A Average Power Sensor connected to thetop USB port for Power Meter Mode, and one Peak Power Sensorconnected to the bottom USB port for Pulse Measurement Mode. How to Connect the Power SensorConnect your Power Sensor to one of the FieldFox USB ports.A sequence of status lights are displayed on the base of the power sensor.— Green blinking light indicates the power sensor is communicating orself-tests are being performed. Because the FieldFox is usuallycommunicating with the power sensor when it is connected, this is thenormal mode of operation.— Amber light indicates Zeroing is being performed.— Red light indicates an error has occurred with the power sensor. Refer topower sensor documentation.— No light indicates the FieldFox is not communicating with the powersensor. This is the case when in Hold mode or when NOT in PulsedMeasurement Mode.Use an attenuator between the DUT and the power sensor whenmeasuring power levels that are higher than +20 dBm. The attenuatorvalue can be subtracted from the measurement using the Offset feature, discussed in “Relative and Offset Power Measurements” on page 131.
