After setting a parallel track to yourcurrent flight plan, a magenta parallel track line will bedrawn offset from the original by the selected distance.The original course line will be drawn in white. Theaircraft will navigate to the parallel track course line.When you reach the end of the flight plan, anannunciator message will state “PTK END X S”. Themessage will give the pilot sufficient time to interceptthe original course.Points to remember with Parallel Track:• You must have an active flight plan• The current leg must support parallel track• Parallel track is not allowed for the active leg of anapproach• Parallel track is not allowed if the active leg is not atrack-to-fix or direct-to-fix leg• Parallel track may be allowed but not the selectedoffset distanceTOWPTFROMWPTNorthBRGParallel Track DstanceCourseDTKOffsetTOWPTOffsetFROMWPTTo set a parallel track to your flight plan.1. Turn the small and large right knobs toset the Offset Dstance value and then pressENT.Turn the small and large knobs to select theparallel track distance from your currentflight plan.4. Turn the large right knob to hghlght theOffset Drecton.5. Turn the small right knob to select the desredOffset Drecton and press ENT.Turn the small and large knobs to select theparallel track direction from your currentflight plan.6. Activate? s hghlghted. Press ENT to actvatethe selected Parallel Track. Or, press CLR or theCRSR to cancel Parallel Track selecton.
