Ifyou hear the computer working, wait until it is done.For information about allowing the Desktop Manager software tooverwrite the MultiPASS printer setup options, refer to the “Overwritingthe MultiPASS Printer Options” section.Overwriting the MultiPASS Printer OptionsIf you set options on the operator panel of your MultiPASS printer (suchas a phone line type), they are overwritten by the Desktop Managersoftware under the following conditions:o When the installation of the Desktop Manager software is completedand you select to launch the MultiPASS Status Monitoro After installation, when you open the MultiPASS Status Monitor(which occurs automatically when you start Windows NT)o After installation, when you save a change to the setup options in theDesktop Manager (as described in Chapter 8, “MultiPASS PrinterSetup and Other Utilities in the Desktop Manager”).When setting options, a message appears to remind you that theMultiPASS printer options set on the operator panel will beoverwritten if set in the Desktop Manager.You can choose to proceed with the update, overwriting the settingsin the MultiPASS printer, or you can cancel the action. Whencanceling, you can first record your settings on the MultiPASSprinter. This enables you to reenter them in the Desktop Managerwhen you resume operations.
