If any Windows applications are open, close theapplications. With the applications closed, you ensure that theDesktop Manager software installs properly.n In accordance with recent amendments to the FCC rules governing theuse of facsimile equipment, you are now required to include your faxnumber, name or company name, and the date and time of the fax youare sending every time that you send a fax. Be sure to enter thisinformation during installation.n If you are attempting to reinstall the Desktop Manager software, youmust first remove the current installation. For instructions on removingthe software, refer to Chapter 8, “MultiPASS Printer Setup and OtherUtilities in the Desktop Manager.”Installing the SoftwareOnce you have prepared your system and the required fax information,you are ready to install the Desktop Manager software.n You must log on to Windows NT as Administrator or have Administratorprivileges before installing the Desktop Manager software. If you do nothave Administrator privileges for Windows NT, ask your systemadministrator to install the MultiPASS Desktop Manager software onyour PC.
