1-4Making connectionsConnecting the telephone line, handset, andexternal devices____________________________There are three jacks on the left side of the fax for connection of the following:If you only have one telephone line and plan to use the fax for receiving both fax and voice calls, you willneed to connect the handset or an answering machine* to the fax.Be sure to connect any external devices before using the fax.1 Connect the supplied telephone line cordto the L jack, then the other end to thetelephone line jack on your wall.2 Place the handset in its cradle, andconnect it to the h jack.HandsetExtension phone (i.e. anadditional telephone that you maywish to place away from the fax toanswer calls from a differentlocation) or answering machine.*Telephone line* An answering machine can be connected to the FAX-B120/B115 only.
