4-24 Sending Faxes With the MultiPASS L6000 Chapter 4Variables BinThe variables bin contains the fields of information you want toinclude on the cover page for your fax. When you use the cover pagefor sending a fax with the Desktop Manager, these fields areautomatically filled in with the appropriate information for thatspecific fax transmission.Layout AreaThe layout area allows you to visually create and edit the features ofyour cover page. The size of the layout area corresponds to the size of astandard fax page. You use the horizontal and vertical scroll bars toview different portions of the cover page.Creating a New Cover Pagem Prepare or have available a black-and-white background, inTIFF file format, to use as the template of your new coverpage. (See page 4-21 for details.)m With the Cover Page Designer open, click New Cover onthe File menu or toolbar.m In the displayed dialog box, specify the drive, directory, andname of the TIFF file for your cover page background.m In the layout area, where the black-and-white background isnow displayed, insert the variable fields you want to includewith the fax.
