Starting with the default NAV page, press theMENU key to display an options menu.2. Turn the large right knob to highlight the“Restore Defaults?” option and press ENT.Dual Unit ConsiderationsA “Crossfill?” option is provided from the DefaultNAV Page. This option allows you to transfer a direct-to destination, the active flight plan, any stored flightplan or user waypoints to a second 400W or 500W-series Garmin unit.Some crossfill operations can be done automati-cally. If the crossfill method in both 400W (or 500W)-series units is set to “auto”, a change in the direct-todestination or active flight plan on one unit can also beseen on the other. See Section 4 - Flight Plans - FlightPlan Catalog Options for additional details on usingthe “Crossfill?” option.NOTE: The databases of the 400/500 series andthe 400W/500W are incompatible so you may notmix systems.Map PageThe second NAV page is the map page, which dis-plays your present position using an airplane symbol,along with nearby airports, navaids, user-definedwaypoints, airspace boundaries, lakes, rivers, high-ways and cities.NOTE: The electronic chart is an aid to navigationand is designed to facilitate the use of authorizedgovernment charts, not replace them. Land andwater data is provided only as a general referenceto your surroundings. The positional accuracyof the land and water data is not of a precisionsuitable for use in navigation and it should notbe used for navigation.
