93Configuring the network settings [Network]The network settings and the settings relating to DDNS (Dynamic DNS) and SNMP (Simple Network managementProtocol) can be configured on the "Network" page.The "Network" page has 4 tabs; the [Network] tab, the [DDNS] tab, the [SNMP] tab and the [FTP img. trans.] tab.Configure the network settings [Network]Click the [Network] tab on the "Network" page. (☞ Pages 26 and 27: How to display/operate the setup menu)The following information is required to configure the network settings.Contact the network administrator or your Internet service provider.• IP address• Subnet mask• Default gateway (when using the gateway server/router)• HTTP port• Primary DNS address, Secondary DNS address (when using DNS)■ IPv4 network[Network Settings]Select the method of how to configure the IP addressfrom the following.Static: The IP address is configured by entering manu-ally on "IP address(IPv4)".DHCP: The IP address is configured using the DHCPfunction.Auto: The IP address is configured using the DHCPfunction. When the DHCP server is not found, the IPaddress is automatically configured.Configure the DHCP server not to assign the same IPaddresses used for the other network cameras and PCswhose IP address is unique. Refer to the networkadministrator for further information about the settingsof the server.Default: StaticNote:• When "Auto" is selected and the IP address cannotbe obtained from the DHCP server, an IP addressnot used in the same network will be searchedwithin 169.254.1.0 - 169.254.254.255.[IP address(IPv4)]When not using the DHCP function, enter the IPaddress of the camera.
