This number results from the number of axes/spindles less one for the master.Furthermore, one coupling can also be configured via machine data as in earlier SWversions.Permanently configured couplingThe coupling characteristics and transformation ratio for a permanently configuredsynchronous spindle coupling can be altered by the NC part program provided that they arenot write-protected. The machine axes for LS and FS cannot be changed.Define new couplingsLanguage command "COUPDEF" can be used to create new synchronous spindle couplings(user-defined) and to modify the parameters for existing couplings. When the coupling parameters are fully specified, the following applies:COUPDEF(FS, LS, T numerator , T denominator , block change behavior, coupling type)The synchronous spindle coupling is unambiguously defined with FS and LSThe other coupling parameters must only be programmed when they need to be changed. The last valid status remains applicable for non-specified parameters. The individual coupling parameters are explained below:● FS, LS: Spindle name for following and leading spindlese.g.: S1, SPI(1), S2, SPI(2)The valid spindle number must be assigned in the axis-specific MD35000$MA_SPIND_ASSIGN_TO_MACHAX of a machine axis.● T numerator , T denominator : Transformation ratio parameters for numerator and denominatorThe transformation ratio is specified in the form of numeric values for numerator anddenominator (see Section "Synchronous mode (Page 705)").The numerator must always be programmed. If no denominator is specified, then itsvalue is always assumed to be "1.0".
