29MONITORS AND DISPLAYS Spot and Multiscreen MonitorThe WJ-HD500 Disk Recorder can be connected to twoMonitors.The monitor displays the video signal according to the con-nection made, as shown below.Spot Monitor: The monitor that is connected to theSPOT OUT connector on the rear of the Recorder.It only displays the video input in single spot or sin-gle sequence.Displaying the Disk Recorder’s playback is dis-abled.Multiscreen Monitor: The monitor that is connected tothe MULTI SCREEN OUT connector on the rear ofthe Recorder.It can display the video input in multiscreen mode(4, 7, 9, 10, 13,16 screen segments).It also displays the Recorder’s playback images.Pressing the SET UP/ESC button for two secondsor more will automatically select this monitor anddisplay the Disk Recorder’s Setup menu.q Time DisplayDisplays the hours (24-hour), minutes, and seconds.w Date Displaye Recording Status and Recording Number DisplayDisplays the recording status and recording numbercurrently being played back.The recording number is automatically assigned whenrecording.REC ✽✽%: Indicates that images are being recorded.(✽✽ indicates the remaining space of the Hard Diskwhen the disk is set to stop.)EMERGENCY: Indicates that an Emergency Recordingis being made.#✽✽✽✽✽✽: Recording Number (during playback)wq yuioert Status DisplayThe status display shows the system status of the DiskRecorder.It is displayed on the screen of the Multiscreen Monitor dur-ing recording and playback and contains the followinginformation.The status display is only available on the screen of theMultiscreen Monitor.(The Spot Monitor only displays the Group Title andCamera Title.)SPOTOUTOUTMULUTI SCREENONOFFPOWERONOFFPOWERSpot Monitor Multiscreen MonitorDisk RecorderWJ-HD500
