142. Place the rack mounting brackets on both sides of theDisk Recorder and tighten with the four suppliedscrews (M4 X10).3. Remove the four rubber feet by removing the fourscrews from the bottom of the Disk Recorder. Installing the Optional Hard DiskAt the time of shipment from the factory, the WJ-HD500Disk Recorder is equipped with one hard disk drive; anoptional drive can be installed to increase the hard diskstorage capacity.To install the optional hard disk, follow the proceduresbelow.1. Unplug the power cord from the WJ-HD500 DiskRecorder, or disconnect the plug from the AC outlet.2. Remove the top cover of the Disk Recorder by remov-ing the 11 screws, as shown below.3. Plug in the power cable and prepared interface flatcable into the power inlet and interface connector of thehard disk.Disk RecorderWJ-HD5004. Attach the absorbers to the chassis, as shown in thefigure.5. Place the hard disk onto the chassis, and then fix it withthe four screws and sleeves, as shown in the figure.6. After installing the hard disk, secure the top cover bytightening the screws.
