To use the shutter func-tion, hold down the CTL button, and press the MUTE PICTURE buttonon the remote control.5. OPERATIONThis section describes how to select a computer or video source, ad-just the picture and sound, edit a signal and adjust all other settingsand adjustments for proper projector set-up.General ControlsBefore you turn on the projector ensure that the computer or video sourceis turned on and that the lens cap is removed.1. Turn On The ProjectorPlug the supplied power cable into the AC outlet. The main powerswitch is on the rear panel of the projector. By turning this switch on,the projector will go into its standby mode and the POWER indicatorwill glow orange. Only after you press the 'POWER ON' button onthe remote control or projector cabinet will the POWER indicatorturn to green and the projector will fully turn on.2. Select The Computer Or Video SourcePress the INPUT button on the remote control to select the desiredsource. Or press the MENU button on the remote control and usethe Source Select to select your video source: Video, S-Video, RGB,Y/Cr/Cb, RGB Digital (SX6000 only) or SDI.3. Adjust The ImagePress the ADJUST PICTURE button or the ADJUST WHITE BALon the remote control or select the [Menu] → [Adjust (Source)] toadjust the picture.4. Turn Off The ProjectorFirst press the POWER OFF button on the remote control or theprojector cabinet. Allow the fan to cool the projector for three min-utes. This will extend the life of the lamp. After the cooling fan stopsworking, the POWER indicator will change to a steady orange glowand the projector will be in the stand-by mode. Then turn off themain power switch on the rear panel. The POWER indicator will goout. If you desire to move the projector then unplug the power cable.IMPORTANT:• The projector should be unplugged if it will not be used for an ex-tended period.• If you want to turn off the image briefly (five minutes or less), pressthe MUTE PICTURE button instead of turning the projector off andon.• The projector will display a black, blue image or logo if no input signalis present.• Do not turn the projector off and then immediately back on. The Pro-jector needs to cool down for three minutes before it is powered onagain.CAUTION: Do not turn off the main power while the cooling fan is working.Using The Menus1. Press the MENU button on the remote control to display the menu.2. Use the or button on the remote control to select the sub menu.3. The right-oriented delta symbol indicates further choices are avail-able. Press the button to highlight the item you want to adjust or setin the selected menu.4. Press the or button on the remote control to select the item.5. Press the ENTER button on the remote control to display the adjust-ment screen or dialog box.6. Adjust the level or turn the selected item on or off by using or onthe remote control. The on-screen slide bar will show you the amountof increase or decrease.
