Passing Signals out of Apollo134 APOLLO Digital Broadcast Production ConsoleMAIN PATHS ON SPILL/MONITOR AND SPILL/JOYSTICK PANELSThe faders on the monitor andjoystick panels can be switched toallow control over the main paths inthe system. This is achieved by ensuring the SPILLLEVELS and DOWNMIX LEVELS buttonsare deselected on the panel.Main paths can then be patched to thefaders in the same way as other faderson the surface. See “Allocating SignalPaths to Faders” on page 58 for moreinformation on this process. These faders can be assigned and haveprocessing and routing applied in thesame way as any other fader on thesurface. See Fig 1.Tone to mainsWhen controlling main paths, the buttonsabove each fader that performed the CUTor ON functions for spill levels now injecttone into the relevant main output. Thehidden-till-lit indicators will confirm thisfunction.Accessing Spill controls for MainfadersWhen controlling main paths and a mainpath on one of these faders is assigned, itis not possible to switch the mode of thefaders on the same panel and use them toalter the spill legs of the assigned main. The function of the faders cannot beswitched unless a path from a normalfader or another monitor or joystick panelis assigned. This is intended to avoid theconfusion of having a single fader indicatethe assigned path and the relevant spillleg at the same time.FIG 1 - MAIN PATHS ON MONITOR PANEL
