Even if one HDD has errors, datacan be recovered based on error correction data record-ed on other HDDs. (RAID 5 is used when 3 or moreHDDs are connected. However, when 2 or more HDDssimultaneously have errors, data cannot be recovered.)RAID (RAID6)An abbreviation for Redundant Arrays of InexpensiveDisks 6 that provides a highly reliable disk array by dis-tributing access over multiple HDDs, increasing bothspeed and capacity. Even if two HDDs have errors, datacan be recovered based on error correction data record-ed on other HDDs. (RAID 6 is used when 4 or moreHDDs are connected. However, when 3 or more HDDssimultaneously have errors, data cannot be recovered.)RS485When this product is connected to the camera using thevideo cable and the RS485 cable, the electrical charac-teristics of RS485 can make this product to control thecamera.SDHC/SD memory card (Secure Digital memorycard)A small, lightweight and removable storage device hav-ing a large capacity.SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol)A protocol for sending e-mail on the Internet or anIntranet.
