104It is possible to manually copy images recorded in the recorder onto a DVD or an SDHC/SD memory card. It isrecommended to make back-up copies on a regular basis for unexpected situations such as malfunction of thehard disk drives.Refer to page 59 for further information about the copy function.Copy recorded imagesStep 1Display the top page of the operation window.(☞ Page 77)Step 2Click the button in the [Copy] box.→ The data copy window will be displayed.Step 3Specify the detailed conditions of recorded images tobe copied.Date and time range: Designate the start time anddate and the end time and date of recorded imag-es to be copied.Click the [C] button, and then designate time anddate.[REC event]: Select an event type of recorded imag-es from the following. Select the event type bychecking the checkbox corresponding to thedesired event type. The checkbox respective tothe selected event type will be checked. (Whenselecting "All", all the checkboxes will bechecked.)[Camera]: Select a camera channel used for record-ing.Select the camera channel by checking thecheckbox corresponding to the desired camerachannel. To select all camera channels, select"All".[Copy drive]: Select a DVD or an SDHC/SD memorycard as a copying destination.Check the checkbox corresponding to either of"HDD → DVD" or "HDD → SDHC/SD memorycard".[Alteration detection]: Determine whether or not toattach the alteration detection code to the record-ed images to be copied.When the alteration detection code is attached, itis possible to check if the copied recorded imageshave been altered or not when playing the copiedrecorded images using the viewer software.Click the [C] button, and then select "On" or"Off".[Data size]: When the [Measurement] button isclicked, size of the data to be copied will be dis-played.[Remaining capacity]: The remaining capacity of thedestination media (SDHC/SD memory card orDVD) will be displayed.Step 4Click the [OK] button. The confirmation window willbe displayed. Then, click the [OK] button of the win-dow.→ The data copy window will close. Copying willstart and the icon will be displayed in the sta-tus display area. When copying is complete, the[COPY] icon will disappear.
