1.5 Making Call Features54 Feature Guide1.5.4.4 Dial Type SelectionDescriptionThe dialing mode (rotary or tone) can be selected for each CO line through systemprogramming ( LCOT Dialing Mode [410]) regardless of originating extension (undercontract with the telephone company).Conditions• Pulse to Tone ConversionIt is possible for an extension user to temporarily switch from Pulse mode to DTMF modein order to access special services such as computer-accessed long distance calling orvoice mail services. To switch to DTMF mode, wait for a preprogrammed time period(Default: 5 seconds) after the CO line is connected, or press . This feature works onlyon CO lines set to Pulse mode. DTMF mode cannot be changed to Pulse mode.• It is possible to select a pulse rate for the CO line port which has been set to Pulse mode( LCOT Pulse Rate [411]).
