Upgrading Your Server 9-51RemovalRemove a disk array controller board in reverse order of the installation steps.Use of internal hard disk drives in a disk array configurationOnboard RAID Controller (RoMB)RAID controller is factory embedded in your mother board.For enabling the onboard RAID controller, refer to Chapter 4 for detail.Optional RAID ControllerYour server can include the optional PCI add-in RAID controller. The optional RAID controller cancontrol the internal hard disk drives as the RAID drive.To use the internal hard disk drives in a disk array configuration with an optional RAID controller,reconnect the hard disk drive interface cable on the mother board. At the factory, the interface cableis connected to the mother board connector as shown below.SAS connector 2(for ports 4 and 5) *1SATA connector 1(for channels 0 and 1)*2SAS connector 2(for ports 4 and 5) *1SAS connector 1(for ports 0 and 3) *1FRONT REARMother board*1 The SAS connectors are mounted only for the SAS hard disk drive model only.*2 The SATA connectors are mounted only for the SATA hard disk drive model only.
