Installing and Using Utilities 6-9NEC EXPRESSBUILDER for DOS-based with Remote ConsoleThis subsection describes the procedures for using NEC EXPRESSBUILDER for DOS-based withremote console.NEC EXPRESSBUILDER contains the remote console feature that allows the system administratorto set up the server from the management workstation (management PC) via the network or theserver's COM B (serial) port.IMPORTANT: Do not use this feature on any other computer than the server, oron any other server obtained without the NECEXPRESSBUILDER. Doing so may cause a failure of the server. When a keyboard is connected to the server, the remote consolefeature is disabled. The NEC EXPRESSBUILDER determines thatthe server has a console. (Nothing is displayed on the managementPC.) If you fail to configure the disk array controller N8103-80F or 81Ffrom the remote console, try again using the server console. The system may fail to operate with the transfer rate of 115.2 Kbpsfor serial console redirection. Specify any other transfer rate than115.2 Kbps.
