LYNX Touch Installation and Setup Guide- 55 -System Operation“Follow Me” Reminder FeatureThis feature allows the user to schedule a time driven message. When activated, the system will dial theUser 1 and/or User 2 phone numbers, which are programmed as Phone 1 and Phone 2 respectively by theinstaller (in the Reporter Programming section), and deliver a recorded message. The LYNX Touch willimmediately begin transmitting the voice message and will repeat the message for 45 seconds. If themessage has timed out, the system will redial the programmed number a maximum of seven additionaltimes or until it is acknowledged. Pressing any key on the LYNX Touch keypad will terminate both the“Follow Me” reminder and the local reminder announcements.Notes: (1) This feature is only supported if it has been programmed.(2) The follow me reminder will be terminated if any other event requires the system to dial out, however, delivery ofthe local schedule reminder message will continue.(3) If a Central Station report must be sent, the “Follow Me” Reminder message will be suspended. Once the PSTNline is available the session will be resumed and the control will again make up to 8 delivery attempts.Remote Phone Control FeatureThe remote phone control feature, which must be enabled, allows the user to access the security system fromany off-site touch-tone telephone. The control will pick up the incoming call, based on the specified ringcount, and will announce “SYSTEM ENTER CODE” every three seconds for the next nine seconds. Duringthis period the panel will wait for a valid User Code to be entered. If a valid User Code is not entered or thenine second period expires a modem tone will be generated for remote programming (CompassDownloading). If a valid User Code has been entered, the control will announce the current system statusand/or beeping sounds. Refer to the User Guide for additional information regarding this feature.
