If you are using Windows 2000, go to “Configuring Faxin Windows 2000” on page 132.Installing Fax in Windows XPMicrosoft Fax lets you send and receive faxes using your modem. WhenWindows XP was originally installed on your computer, Fax was not installed.You need to install Fax from your blue Operating System CD.To install Fax:1 Insert the blue Operating System CD in your CD or DVD drive.2 If the Welcome to Microsoft Windows XP dialog box opens, click Installoptional Windows components. The Windows Components Wizard opens.-OR-If the Welcome to Microsoft Windows XP dialog box does not open, clickStart, then click Control Panel. The Control Panel window opens.Click/Double-click Add and Remove Programs. The Add or Remove Programsdialog box opens. Click Add/Remove Windows Components.
