-14-SETUP PROCEDURESThe Setup Menu provides a way for controlling functionsnot available through direct input. Displaying the SETUP MENU1. Confirm that the camera and peripherals are con-nected correctly and securely.2. Turn on the power switches of all system compo-nents.3. Press the SET UP/ESC button of the Disc Recorderfor about 2 seconds or more.The MAIN menu appears on the monitor screen asshown below.MAINSET UP DISABLESYSTEM *REC MODE MODE1 *MODE2 *ALARM RECORD *SEARCH/PLAY *SYSTEM INFO *Panasonic AV Disc Recorder V1.0R00PLAY MODE1↔ ALLSET UP/ESCSET– FORMAT +PLAY BACKSELECT T/L MODE• In the MAIN menu, press the SET UP/ESC buttonfor about 2 seconds to apply the setting and exit thesetup mode.Note: If alarm is activated during the setup opera-tion, the setup menu disappears and the displayreturns to the normal picture. Any settings previ-ously made take effect, even if the SET UP/ESCbutton was not pressed.• The following buttons are valid in the setup menu:UP : Moves the cursor upward.DOWN : Moves the cursor downward.LEFT : Moves the cursor to the left, orselects the mode or parameter.RIGHT : Moves the cursor to the right, orselects the mode or parameter.SET: Executes the selections and dis-plays a submenu for an item with the(*) mark.SET UP/ESC: Executes the currently selected set-ting and returns to the previoussetup menu.(–): Selects the next mode or parameter.(+): Selects the previous mode or para-meter.
