48REFERENCEWaypoint EditOptions‘Show Map’ allows youto view the area aroundthe waypoint’s position.‘Display Options’ letsyou determine whatwaypoint informationwill appear on the mapdisplay.The Waypoint Edit Page also features anoptions page that allows you to delete thewaypoint, view the map area around thewaypoint position, define how the waypointwill appear on the map display or average thewaypoint position to improve accuracy.To display the Waypoint Edit Options,press MENU (with the Waypoint EditPage displayed).The following options are available:Show Map— allows you to view the maparea surrounding the selected waypoint’sposition. While viewing the map display, youcan also use the IN and OUT zoom keys tosee additional detail.Display Options— lets you designate howthe selected waypoint will appear on the mapdisplay. Options are provided to showSymbol & Name, Symbol & Comment(Cmnt), or Symbol Only.To change the display options for awaypoint:1. Highlight ëDisplay Optionsí and press ENTER.2. Highlight the desired option and press ENTER.Average Position— allows you to averageposition samples over time to update thewaypoint’s position with a more accurateposition reading. (See page 29 for moreinformation on averaging.)Delete Waypoint— allows you to remove theselected waypoint from memory.To delete a waypoint:1. Highlight ëDelete Waypointí and press ENTER. Aconfirmation screen is displayed.2. ENTER to delete (or QUIT to cancel).
