Highlight thedesired route and pressENTER to view theRoute Plan Page.Activating a route tellsthe GPS 12 MAP youwant to use this route forguidance.The GPS 12 MAP’s Route List displays all theroutes currently stored in memory, along with adescriptive name for each route. Once a routehas been created, it can be activated and usedfor navigation from the Route List. A route maybe followed in the same sequence as it wasoriginally created, or you can invert the routeand navigate from the end waypoint back to thebeginning waypoint.To activate a route:1. Press MENU twice to display the Main Menu.2. Highlight ëRoutesí and press ENTER. The RouteList is displayed, showing all routes stored inmemory.3. Highlight the desired route and press MENU todisplay the Route Options.4. Highlight ëActivateí and press ENTER to navigatethe route in sequence.To deactivate the route and stop using itfor navigation:1. Press PAGE repeatedly to display the ActiveRoute Page. (See page 62.)2. Press MENU to display the Active Route Options.3. Highlight ëDeactivateí and press ENTER to stopnavigating the currently selected route.The Route List also allows you to enter yourown 13-character name for any listed route. Bydefault the name includes the first and lastwaypoints in the route.To enter a custom route name:1. Press MENU twice to display the Main Menu.2. Highlight ëRoutesí and press ENTER. The RouteList is displayed, showing all routes stored inmemory.3. Highlight the desired route and press ENTER todisplay the Route Plan Page.4. Highlight the name field and press ENTER tobegin editing.5. Use the rocker keypad to enter the desired nameand press ENTER when finished.
