Cleaning the Paper Feed RollerIf the paper feed roller is dirty or paper powder is attached to it, paper may not be fed properly.In this case, clean the paper feed roller. Cleaning will wear out the paper feed roller, so perform this onlywhen necessary.You need to prepare: three sheets of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper1. Make sure that the power is turned on.2. Flick the HOME screen, then tap Setup.Using the Operation PanelThe setup menu screen will appear.3. Tap Maintenance.The Maintenance screen will appear.4. Tap Roller cleaning.The confirmation screen will appear.5. Tap Yes.6. Tap the paper source to clean (Cassette 1 or Cassette 2).7. Follow the message to remove any paper from the paper source you selected in step 6.8. Tap OK.The paper feed roller will rotate as it is cleaned.9. Make sure that the paper feed roller has stopped rotating, then follow the message to loadthree sheets of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper in the paper source you selected in step 6.10. Extend the output tray extension, then open the paper output support.231
